About Elmwood Publishing, Inc. >>
The founders of Elmwood Publishing, Inc., the creators and publishers of Model Engine Builder magazine, are no strangers to Model Engineering world. Mike Rehmus was one of the founding members of BAEM, the Bay Area Model Engine club in Northern California and served as the clubs first Newsletter Editor for 4 years. In 1997, Mike founded ByVideo, a video production company, to document the models presented at NAMES, PRIME, and other Model Engine Exhibitions throughout the US. As ByVideo has grown, Mike has become involved in creating educational, civic, and commercial videos as well as documenting Model Engine exhibitions.
Previously Mike had a marketing career in Silicon Valley in printers, scanners, digital cameras, and the Internet. His BS degree and seven years in the Navy in submarines, electronics, and nuclear power has given him a reasonable understanding of IC engine technology.
Toni Rehmus has also been part of the Model Engine world, and can often be seen selling videos in the ByVideo booth at Exhibitions. She brings a background in Business Administration, Marketing, and Program Management to the magazine production team. With a Degree in English and a MBA she is prepared to run the business end of the magazine and insure that Mike doesn’t skate around too many rules of the English language.
Seeing the need for a magazine devoted to IC Model Engineers, Mike and Toni have teamed up to found Elmwood Publishing, Inc., and create Model Engine Builder magazine.
The rest we hope will be good history. |
