Interested in Contributing?

MEB is interested in articles that primarily focus on IC engines, IC engine-driven mechanisms (such as a V-8 engine and the model hot rod it powers, a tractor engine and the tractor, or something like a generator or pencil sharpener) and engine building techniques and tooling. We’ll take a look at any interesting engine article, IC or not.

You'll find us easy to work with and ready to assist you in producing that construction or tech topic article in whatever manner you wish.  We can use your high-quality hand or computer drawn plans directly or we can redraw any plan you submit whether on napkins, paper bags, or place mats.  Text for your article can come from your computer files, typewriter, hand-written notes, or from conversations with you. So sharpen your pencils and write your way (with our assistance if you wish) into model engineering fame and earn a little money (very little in U.S. funds).

Contributing Editors

Model Engine Builder is looking for Contributing Editors to write regular Columns on subjects that are not necessarily limited to the Beginner's Corner, Product Reviews, Model Engineering Exhibitions, and the MEB Web site.  What might you have in mind?

Construction & Tech Topic Articles

MEB, as with other hobby magazines, can only succeed if readers contribute.  From construction articles for complex engines to slick ways of performing shop operations, we need your input.  Tech Topics can cover something as complex as casting a crankcase, honing a bore, or to something as simple as what type of gas to run in your engine.

We'll have a Contributor's Kit to send you with guidelines on what input we need, what we'd like, and so forth.  Anybody can contribute to this magazine.
